About

The LISA (Learning, Integration, Support and Assessment)  Project, part of the France 2030 initiative, aims to support the mental health and well-being of K-12 students by equipping educators with actionable insights derived from multi-dimensional assessments. By combining cutting-edge research with co-designed digital tools, LISA empowers teachers to identify individual student strengths and needs and adapt classroom strategies accordingly.

The project involves a consortium of national and international partners (Learning Planet Institute, iféa, Mission Laïque Française, Child Mind Institute, and the Child Brain Institute at Robert Debré Hospital. LISA is currently being deployed across 200 schools to reach up to 80,000 students by 2028.

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Master’s student interested in applied research in cognitive science, education, mental health, and digital innovation. The intern will contribute to one of LISA’s core research and evaluation activities, particularly in the area of tool usability and impact analysis. The internship will provide a rich learning opportunity in an interdisciplinary environment at the intersection of cognitive science, public health and data science. Priority would be given to 2nd year (M2) students but we invite M1 students to apply as well.

Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in data collection, analysis, and interpretation (quantitative and/or qualitative)

  • Conduct literature reviews and contribute to research reporting

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of researchers, teachers, and designers

  • Support the psychometric analysis of the FACETS

  • Assist in developing evaluation dashboards and visual summaries for reporting to funders and institutional partners

  • Participate in collaborative research tasks, including literature reviews and support for ethical documentation and protocols

Preferred Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Master’s program in Cognitive Science, Psychology, Education, Public HealthData Science or related field

  • Interest in educational innovation, psychology, child development, and/or digital platforms for well-being and education

  • Basic knowledge of data analysis (R or Python)

  • Strong communication skills in French, ease in working in an English-speaking environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with user research and statistical analysis

  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary approaches to mental health or child development

  • Motivation to contribute to real-world impact in school contexts
