About Us

LPI was founded by François Taddei and Ariel Lindner in 2005 to create a student/researcher centered open environment in which they can collaborate together to build a world where lifelong learning is at the heart of our society.

To help everyone take care of oneself, others and the planet, LPI is co-constructing and sharing new ways of learning, teaching and mobilizing collective intelligence in the fields of life, learning and digital sciences.

Sitting at the crossroads of research and education, LPI advocates for innovative pedagogy putting the student at the heart of their own learning experience through projects, research and societal challenges.

LPI develops educational and research programs, from newborn to PhD including lifelong learning, together with the University of Paris.

LPI develops programs with international partners, where students follow stimulating programs through a learning by doing approach, as well as entrepreneurial projects inspired by the 17 Social Development Goals established by the United Nations.

LPI also organises a number of international events, including the prestigious conferences «Towards a Learning Planet» and the «World Innovation Summit for Education».

LPI has inspired the development of other innovative places of learning such as Open Fiesta in Tsinghua University, in China and Tadeo Lab in Bogota University, in Colombia.

Our international mindset is the backbone of our creativity, energy, legitimacy and recognition worldwide. Our community, composed of students, teachers, researchers, scientific advisories and staff, represents over 50 nationalities.
